Love Surprises
Yesterday didn’t get off to a good start. By noon I wanted my significant other to swing by my office to give me a hug and have lunch with me as well.
When I rang him he said that he was inundated with work himself and could not dine with me, but would happily drive to where I was to give me a hug. I said that would not be reasonable and that I’ll just see him at the end of the day.
I was in the kitchen about to open my can of tomato soup when my mobile rang. I ran back into my office and saw that Thom was ringing me. When I picked up, he said, “Look outside your window.” And there he was! To think that it was pouring, blustery and freezing!
Prior to that, I kept ringing him to say how much I missed him and it seemed like he wasn’t interested. But in actual fact, he was driving and had to pull over every time I rang! He was trying to get to me as fast as he could. I should have known when he checked if I’ve had lunch already.
He popped by the grocery first, picked up a few items he thought I’d like and went to surprise me. He still didn’t have time to lunch with me but simply wanted to be there to cheer me up and tell me how much he loved me.
That’s one of the things that makes a relationship forever fresh. Surprises. So think. What could be a lovely surprise that your significant other would enjoy right now? It doesn’t have to be grand. Only coming from the heart. What was the last sweet surprise you’ve received from your hunny?

i love surprises, too. the biggest surprise last year was when i got a new laptop for no reason at all (well the reason is he cant work in our pc coz am always busy there, hehe)…

mmmm i love that simple things your hubby did just to show how much he loves you… that’s sooooooooo sweet!
the last surprise i got from him is a digicam. though we’ve been talking that we wouldnt buy one coz it;s not so important, but he knows very well that i want one. So one night, he just told me he wants to but a cam, and drive to the nearest shop and bought for me one.
