The Little Things
I was a bit ill yesterday - migraine. While still at work I rang and asked my significant other to buy me ice cream (though I’m lactose-intolerant) and bananas to make a banana split to help lower my body temperature. He came home not only with the requested items, but with a few little bits and pieces as well that he knew I’d like. Then he made me toasts and the split.
Or when he picks me up from work and it’s raining, he would get out of the car and take an umbrella for me to use. He doesn’t mind the rain or if he gets wet, but he knows I hate it ruining my hair
If in the middle of the night I feel like a drink, all I need to do is give him a little nudge and he’ll fetch me one.
There are many more I can tell you - things he does which make my heart go a-flutter - but maybe another time.
It’s really all the little things. Inasmuch as we want them to be there for us during the big events and the exclamation points in our lives, it’s even sweeter when they’re there everyday to make us smile, make us more special than we already feel, providing the commas and the semi-colons in our colourful lives.

Hello Joy. I hope you are feeling better today.
It took me a time to read several of your last posts not only because of the lack of the time but also because I always need to have more time to read more articles or a longer one. English isn’t my native language and there is no way for me to speak in English in private so this kind of communication is the only way of practising it.
I like this page of yours very much. It is very interesting, constructive and useful. There are so many useful advices you have given to those who need your opinion, advice, help and support. Just keep on doing this.
As for the last post; I suppose you were talking about your husband. (Please let me know if I misunderstood it) It is a wonderful way he treats you and now I would really like to know what is that he use to do that can make your heart go a-flutter. And also, I would like to know something about your behavior towards him. There are so many persons who take for granted partner’s love and thoughtfulness. I would like to hear your opinion on this topic which is the subject of complaining both men and women.
Have a nice and relaxing weekend!

Migraine is such a bitch indeed. I also have it and when I am ill my bf also takes the time to really care for me as well. I always appreciate those little things that he does for me and I always compliment him for being sweet and thoughtful.
Anyway, you really have a sweet and thoughtful partner.

Shang is a bit far from where I live though but would gladly go there since Odd can be with me but I am just thinking about the other bloggers. We can somewhat congregate on nearer venue.

I agree it’s the little things that keep a relationship going, my lady does things that I don’t notice until much later like change the insoles of my shoes because I mentioned once that they rubbed my heels, I didn’t find out until a month later. love is…
oh, the queer chef says hi!
